Thus, and in agreement with Margarida Alves, coordinator of the Hospital de Ovar, protective material worth more than two thousand euros was acquired (gloves, aprons, caps, protective clothing, etc.), in an effort fully supported by the board of the Casa do Benfica in Ovar.
The president of the Casa do Benfica mentioned the satisfaction for being "able to help its municipality ins this difficult stage" and hopes that the offer will be "an important help for Ovar's professionals to do their job even better", which, as he described it, has been "tireless".
Salvador Malheiro, Mayor of Ovar, thanked this offer, which "reveals the spirit of unity of all in Ovar, and the Casa do Benfica did so with special emphasis". "I also thank Sport Lisboa e Benfica and Fundação Benfica for their important support with the offer of the ventilator to the Hospital", stressed the mayor.
