The Portuguese Basketball Federation released on its digital platforms the statistical summary of the 2019/20 season, which was not fully completed due to the pandemic. Several athletes from SL Benfica have stood out in the various parameters, particularly Betinho, the national player with the best valuation.

In the 20 games he completed, Betinho Gomes clinched an average of 12,3 points per game, six rebounds, two assists, 1,1 ball steals and a 66% effectiveness in field goals, adding up to a valuation of 15.7, the best among national athletes.

Under-17: celebrating the third consecutive championship title

Benfica's Under-17s beat FC Porto on Sunday, June 15, on matchday 18 of the National Championship and won the 3rd consecutive league title in the competition and the 22nd in the club's history. At Benfica Campus Field No. 1, Tomás Soares (45'+1') and José Neto (54') scored the goals that gave the Eagles a 2-1 victory. A pioneering project, the Benfica Residential Academy, was officially inaugurated on Friday, June 13.
