Sport Lisboa e Benfica informs that the men's handball team will start the practices for the new season on August 3, in Pavilhão n.º 2 da Luz.

The preceding days will be marked by the usual medicals and physical tests to athletes.

The official 2020/21 season will start at the end of August, with participation in the first qualifying round of the EHF European League. The games are scheduled for August 29 e 30.

Domestically, the competitive start is scheduled for September 12 with the National Championship. Benfica will face Águas Santas in the opening round.

After a day off, Benfica's professional football team trained at Waters Sportsplex in Tampa on Thursday, June 26, with their sights set on the round of 16 of the Club World Cup. In this stage of the competition, the Eagles will face Chelsea at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte at 9:00 pm in mainland Portugal (4:00 pm local time) on Saturday, June 28.
