Pizzi: "I always want to give my best effort for SL Benfica"

Good displays, 18 goals, and 14 assists turned Pizzi into the Best Player of the 2019/20 Liga NOS, in the evaluation of the platform "Maisfutebol".

After 34 rounds, the eagles' number 21 racked up 481 points, leaving Ricardo Horta from Braga (463 points) and Corona from FC Porto (456,7 points) behind.

"First of all, I want to thank you for this 'Maisfutebol' award. I'm very happy about that, but we all know that on a collective level the season didn't go well. On the individual level the truth is that statistically speaking, it was a great season for me. I always want more, I always want to give the best effort for Sport Lisboa e Benfica, but my goal and that of the whole team is to collectively be better than the previous year. We will carry out a good season, I hope, and in the end, we can all be smiling." 

"Work hard to win the 3rd qualifying round of the Champions League"

"[3rd qualifying round of the Champions League] We are aware that this is a very important game for us. It gives access to the Champions League. Of course, we have another round, but to be there we must win this match. It's also very important for the club in financial terms, and all the players who are here and Benfica deserve to be in a Champions League. We will work very hard until September 15 to achieve that."
