João Ferreira arrived at Benfica Campus in 2014/15 as a U-14 player, coming from Rio Ave, the emblem where he began his sporting career. In the 2015/16 and 2017/18 seasons, he became U-15 and U-17 National Champion, respectively. Today, he is part of the senior squad.
"We feel the investment in the youth development. Benfica is huge, and everyone knows how hard you have to work to get here, but everyone also sees that the Club bets a lot on youth football. Each one has to make sure he gets his chance", stressed the full-back.
