The Benfica Soccer School in Washington DC participated in one of the most prestigious USA tournaments, the USYS National Showcase 2021, that brought together the best teams in the country between the U14 to U19 age groups.

Organized by the American national youth football association, US Youth Soccer, the tournament aims to provide high competitive moments and the possibility for players to be observed by observers and coaches from colleges and universities across the country looking for the best talent for their programs.

With the supervision of coordinator Danilo Melo and coaches Paulo Filipe and David Couto, the Benfica Soccer School in Washington School competed in two age groups - under-14 and under-17 - thus testing its teams in a very competitive context.

With several dozen teams and more than 1000 athletes present, this tournament also allowed for the fraternization not only with other clubs but also between the teams from the Benfica Soccer School, in a memorable experience for our athletes.
