Gonçalo Ramos, the striker of the Sport Lisboa e Benfica, was called up by Rui Jorge to be included in the 23-man squad of Portugal U-21 for the group stage of the European Championships, that will take place between March 24 and 31, in Slovenia and Hungary.

The attacker joins the team due to injuries from the benfiquista Jota at Valladolid and Rafael Leão at Milan. There are, therefore, five Eagles in the squad list for the matches against Croatia (Mar 25, at 8 pm), England (Mar 28, at 8 pm) and Switzerland (Mar 31, at 5 pm): Gonçalo Ramos (Benfica's first team) and Florentino, Gedson, Tomás Tavares and Pedro Pereira, these on loan at Monaco, Galatasaray, Farense and Crotone, respectively.

If they manage to qualify for the quarterfinals, Portugal will play the second stage of the European Championship at the end of the season, from May 31 to June 6
