Rochele Nunes, the Benfica judoka, won the silver medal in the +78 kg category at the Tbilisi Grand Slam. In the final held this Sunday, the last day of the competition, the athlete lost against the Chinese athlete Shiyan Xu, by "ippon". 

At the Tbilisi Grand Slam, Benfica judokas Anri Egutidze (7th place) and Rodrigo Lopes (lost in the opening combat), both for the Portuguese national team, and Djamila Silva and Alexandre Silva (lost in the opening combats), for the Cape Verde national team, also participated.
