Fifty seconds were enough for the Benfica judoka, Rochele Nunes (+78 kg), to win another medal for Portugal – bronze – in the last day of the European Championships 2021, at the Altice Arena, in Lisbon.  

The red athlete won the bronze medal, with a win against the Ukrainian Yelyzaveta Kalanina, with "wazari", followed by "ippon"... all of this in just 50 seconds!

Benfica fought until the end for a different outcome in the last 16 of the Club World Cup, but after extra time they fell to Chelsea (1-4), thus ending their journey in the first edition of the competition in the United States of America. In a game that was interrupted in the 86th minute due to the threat of a thunderstorm and ended almost five hours after the kick-off, Di María leveled the score at 90'+5' (1-1), taking the match into 30 minutes of extra time, during which time the result hung in the balance for the English at the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte.

After a day off, Benfica's professional football team trained at Waters Sportsplex in Tampa on Thursday, June 26, with their sights set on the round of 16 of the Club World Cup. In this stage of the competition, the Eagles will face Chelsea at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte at 9:00 pm in mainland Portugal (4:00 pm local time) on Saturday, June 28.
