Following its international expansion plan and considering the gradual return to sports, Benfica has just confirmed a new partnership with CoachenEvents, a Swedish company with more than 10 years of experience organizing football camps, allowing Benfica to organize a Football Camp in the city of Djursholm, north of Stockholm.

For boys and girls born between 2005-2011, this Camp will take place between August 9 and 13 and will also have a special program for Goalkeepers. 

Coaches from Sport Lisboa e Benfica will work together with Swedish coaches, guarantying the methodological supervision of all activities and ensuring that hundreds of boys and girls will be able to have the unique experience of training The Benfica Way and be a part of a project which is a world reference in the training of young footballers. 

With more than 100 participants already registered and striding to full capacity, we are looking forward to share this experience with all Swedish kids.

Benfica fought until the end for a different outcome in the last 16 of the Club World Cup, but after extra time they fell to Chelsea (1-4), thus ending their journey in the first edition of the competition in the United States of America. In a game that was interrupted in the 86th minute due to the threat of a thunderstorm and ended almost five hours after the kick-off, Di María leveled the score at 90'+5' (1-1), taking the match into 30 minutes of extra time, during which time the result hung in the balance for the English at the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte.
