At Sport Lisboa e Benfica since the beginning of the women's football project – 2018/19 –, Sílvia Rebelo is the captain and one of the most seasoned players in the squad. She renewed her contract with the Club until 2023. 

"It is a responsibility. Representing Benfica, alone, is already a great responsibility and when they put their trust in us, the responsibility increase. I am very happy and I want to help the Club bring joy to our fans", she said.

The eagles have already won 1 National Championship, 1 Portuguese Cup, 2 League Cup, 1 Super Cup and 1 2nd Division National Championship Nacional, but the look at new goals.

"Benfica always wants more, in every competition the team enters it is to win titles. That is what we work for", she claimed.

Benfica fought until the end for a different outcome in the last 16 of the Club World Cup, but after extra time they fell to Chelsea (1-4), thus ending their journey in the first edition of the competition in the United States of America. In a game that was interrupted in the 86th minute due to the threat of a thunderstorm and ended almost five hours after the kick-off, Di María leveled the score at 90'+5' (1-1), taking the match into 30 minutes of extra time, during which time the result hung in the balance for the English at the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte.

After a day off, Benfica's professional football team trained at Waters Sportsplex in Tampa on Thursday, June 26, with their sights set on the round of 16 of the Club World Cup.
