A senior international with Brazil, Everton at Grémio before signing with Sport Lisboa e Benfica for the 2020/21 season.

In an exclusive interview with BPlaywhich you can see here, the Eagles' number 7 makes himself known under the title "a story of work and overcoming".

How did you hear about Benfica's interest?

I found out about it in the press and through my agents. They asked me if I was interested in being part of the project that Benfica had, and my eyes immediately shone because it is a great club, a club that is always fighting for European competitions. Is the most decorated club in Portugal and I wanted to be part of this roster, of this such big club.

Father of two children, you represent the best club in Portugal... Are you missing something?

No! Now I just need to win titles. I am a very fulfilled person, I have two healthy children, I am well married, I play in the biggest club in Portugal... I lack nothing! I want to win titles for Benfica and leave my name in the club's history.

To date, you have made many people smile. Are you proud?

Yes, I feel very proud of what I have done, personally and professionally. I was able to bring joy to the Brazilian fans, from Grémio, my former club, and I hope I can also bring joy to the Benfiquistas.

As you look around, at our dressing room, how does it feel to be here?

Pride! From the moment I set foot in Estádio da luz, the Training Center [Benfica Campus]... it was the moment a dream came true, to be able to play in a big club in Europe. Now it is time to enjoy.
