Training match against the B team

Benfica held this Saturday morning, on field number 1 of Benfica Campus, the first training match of the new season. Against the B team, who won by 0-1 and counted with the participation of some players from the first team, the team under Jorge Jesus concluded the first week of intense work.

Jorge Jesus fielded all player who are available, except Adel Taarabt, who carried out his medicals and physical tests yesterday, Friday.

Out of the match were Gilberto and Vinicius, still in quarantine, as well as Rodrigo Pinho, Darwin Nuñez, Morato, Diogo Gonçalves, André Almeida and Lucas Veríssimo, who are with the Medical Department.

The B team won by 0-1, with the goal being scored byHenrique Pereira.

The first starting XI of the season was: Helton, Gedson Fernandes, Tomás Araújo, Weigl, Ferro, Grimaldo, Florentino, Chiquinho, Pizzi, Waldschmidt and Gonçalo Ramos.

Next Wednesday, Benfica faces Sporting da Covilhã, again at Benfica Campus, in another friendly match.
