Pedro Pichardo achieved this Tuesday, July 6, in Székesfehérvár, Hungary, the best world mark of the year in the triple jump, less than a month from the Olympic Games in Tokyo.

The Portuguese athlete of SL Benfica won the event at the István Gyulai Memorial, in Hungary, with the mark of 17,92 meters, close to his own national record of 17,95 meters.

Pedro Pichardo already had the best world mark of the year, with 17,69 meters, achieved in Madrid, last June.
