Sport Lisboa e Benfica informs that has reached an agreement with Arsenal, from England, for the transfer of the left-back Nuno Tavares.

Nuno Tavares arrived at Benfica in 2015/16 to join the U17s. In 2017/18 played 26 matches with the U19s and became national champion.

The defender completed 13 matches with Benfica B in 2018/19 before progressing into the first team in 2019/20, where he played 16 matches and scored once. Last season he participated in 25 matches.
