Teresa Portela, SL Benfica's canoeist, glided in style through Tokyo's waters towards the semi-finals of the K1 500 meters at the Olympic Games early Wednesday morning, August 4.

The Portuguese athlete advanced directly to the semi-finals as 2nd in her qualifying series, with 1.48,727 minutes, 768 thousandths behind the winner (Hermien Peters).

The semi-finals take place early Thursday morning, August 5, at 01:58 am, and the final about two and a half hours later, at 04h29.
