Present at the draw for the group stage of the Champions League 2021/22, Luisão, Benfica's technical and performance director, commented on the result: Bayern Munich, Barcelona and Dynamo Kiev are the opponents that Jorge Jesus' team will have to face in group E.

"It's a strong group. We had a spectacular night [in Eindhoven] so we could be among the best. That's what happened! Bayern needs no introduction, they had a change in the coach [Julian Nagelsmann replaced Hansi Flick], and it's a team with a lot of quality. Then there is Barcelona, where we meet again an acquaintance, coach Ronald Koeman, and Dynamo Kiev, who are having a strong start to the season", said Luisão, in statements to BTV.
