The night of October 7 was historic in Vizela, for Portugal, who, in the Under-21s, had never beaten an opponent so emphatically as it did against Liechtenstein (11-0), but the man of the moment was Gonçalo Ramos. The Benfica forward scored four goals in just 45 minutes. 

The men under Rui Jorge play again on October 12, Tuesday, in Reykjavik, against Iceland, at 3 pm, in what will be the third encounter in group D of the Under-21 European Championship 2023 qualifying round.

"The main objective of the academy is to develop the athlete with the Benfica methodology and combine the academic part with the athletic part," Ruy Castelo Branco told BTV. “Feeling and experiencing this on a daily basis, especially the energy of the Benfica Campus, is enriching,” he said, noting that the goal is to continue cementing the Club's values in the United States.
