There was no shortage of opportunities, but it took extra time to decide the winner. Everton put Benfica in front, but the miss chances and the one-goal difference made Trofense believe and score the equalizer. André Almeida scored the winner at 94' and the eagles advance to the 4th round on the Portuguese Cup. 


Benfica steps onto the pitch again on Wednesday, October 20, with the home match against Bayern Munich. The game from matchday 3 of the Champions League group E kicks off at 8pm at Estádio da Luz.
