One goal, one assist and a cross for the own goal! Pizzi was an element with impact in Benfica's offensive production at the Estádio D. Afonso Henriques, where the team had a comfortable lead in the scoreline (0-2 and 1-3), but ended up with a 3-3 draw on matchday 2 of group A of phase 3 of the League Cup. The qualification for the final four will be decided in the home match against SC Covilhã.

"We hit the ground running, creating many goal chances. We could have scored the 0-3, and maybe we would have sealed the win at that point, but we didn't", analyzed Benfica's number 21.

"We knew we were playing against a great team, with great players. In the second half we broke down a bit, it's true, but I think the team's response was positive. We wanted the win, the three points to be closer to the qualification, but then we have the game against Covilhã to try to qualify for the final four, which is our goal. We know we need a win by more than two goals and we will do everything to get there", stressed Pizzi.
