Benfica thrashed the Russians of MFK Sinara Ekaterinburg by 1-5, this afternoon, October 28, at Sportová hala Arena, in Slovakia, in a game from matchday 2 group 1 of the UEFA Futsal Champions League Main Round, securing the qualification for the elite round of the competition.

Ahead of the last round, which will be played on October 30, Saturday, at 4 pm, against Futsal Klub Lucenec, Benfica needs only a draw to secure first place in group 1, and as such, feature as a seeded team in the elite round of the competition, which is scheduled for November 3, at 1 pm.
