"This moment is very special for me! Everyone knows that I am a Benfiquista, and now a party is being held in Heaven, where my father and grandfather, Benfica members and Supporters, are surely happy and proud of me. I am happy, proud to wear this jersey, and I will give everything for it. For all this, this moment is even more special", explained Jéssica Silva.
The 27-year-old player began her career at União Ferreirense, followed by stints with Clube de Albergaria and the Swedish te amof Linkopings FC.
"A super team is being built and we will fly. We want to give to Benfica as Benfica gives to us. I see a lot of potential in this project"
Jéssica Silva
She returned to Portugal, spent two seasons at Clube de Albergaria, one season at SC Braga, and then move to Spain to represent Levante. The good performances took her to France, where, with the Lyon jersey, she became European Champion. Last season, Jéssica Silva played in the United States of America, at Kansas City, and now she has transferred to Sport Lisboa e Benfica.
"Benfica is one of the biggest clubs in the world, the biggest in Portugal, and it is a pride to be here and to wear this jersey. Any player, especially a Portuguese one, wants to represent a big team, and for me, I'm also a Benfica fan, so there is a will from both sides. I'm very happy to be here and let's do it! Benfica has an ambitious project, and I am ambitious; it has a super-competent structure and a sustained project in which I believe a lot."
"Benfica is one of the biggest clubs in the world, the biggest in Portugal, and it is a pride to be here. I am happy, proud and I am her to help"
"A super team is being built and we will fly in the big competitions. We want to give to Benfica as Benfica gives to us, play, and rack up victories! I want to score goals, win games win titles and I am here to help the team, I see a lot of potential in this project. Benfica had a good performance in the Champions League and the idea is to continue this work and be able to reach as far as possible. We will be up there in no time", stressed the forward.
