The 20-year-old winger of Benfica B Umaro Embaló received the Best Youth of December award in Liga 2, in a vote organized by the Portuguese Players Union.

With the award in his hands, Umaro Embaló told BTV that the prize is a reflection of the team's work. "It is very important when people recognize our work, but that only comes with teamwork. We did well, it was an important month for us. I got this award and I thank the team", he said.

Umaro Embaló was a starter in the four matches played by the young eagles in the second tier in December and scored the winner away at Ac.Viseu. This strike earned him the Best Goal of December in the Liga 2.

The Benfica B winger received 14.69% of the votes, beating Diogo Pinto (14,62%), from Estrela da Amadora, and Gonçalo Borges (10,96%), from FC Porto B.
