Andreia Faria, Jéssica Silva, Sílvia Rebelo, Carole Costa, Lúcia Alves, Francisca Nazareth and Catarina Amado: seven Benfica players were called up by the national coach Francisco Neto for Portugal's next two matches, against Germany and Bulgaria, in the qualification for the 2023 Women's World Cup. Three other Benfica athletes were called up to the Under-23 national team: Ana Seiça, Beatriz Cameirão and Carolina Vilão.

In second place in Group H (13 points, five points behind leaders Germany), the senior national team will face the Germans on April 9, at 3:10 pm, in Bielefeld (Schüco Arena), and then face Bulgarian counterparts on April 12, at 7 pm, in the Estádio Cidade de Barcelos.

As for the Under-23 National Team, it will be carry out a training camp in Cidade do Futebol from April 4 to 12.
