HIGHLIGHTS

SL Benfica's professional football squad continued their pre-season work on Tuesday, July 15, with the first training session at Benfica Campus marked by high competitive aggressiveness and intensity.

After undergoing medical examinations and physical assessments on Monday, July 14 - between Hospital da Luz and Benfica Campus - the squad led by Bruno Lage held its first training session on the pitch, which included new signings Obrador and Dedic.

Tomás Araújo did individual work on the pitch.

HIGHLIGHTS

The following 27 players were present at this training session:

  • Goalkeepers: Trubin, Samuel Soares and Diogo Ferreira;

  • Defenders: Otamendi, António Silva, Dahl, Obrador, Dedic, Leandro Santos, Joshua Wynder and Gonçalo Oliveira;

  • Midfielders: Aursnes, Florentino, Barreiro, João Rego, Nuno Félix, João Veloso, Rafael Luís and Diogo Prioste;

  • Forwards: Pavlidis, Tiago Gouveia, Bruma, Aktürkoğlu, Prestianni, Henrique Araújo, Tengstedt and Eduardo Fernandes.

Having won the 12th edition of the Eusébio Cup, thanks to an outstanding display and victory over Feyenoord at Estádio da Luz last Sunday night, Benfica's squad resumed work on Tuesday, July 30, in preparation for the pre-season clash with Fulham in the Algarve Trophy, scheduled for 8 pm on Friday, August 2, at the Estádio Algarve.
