Officially announced on Friday, July 11, as a new signing for the Eagles, the left-back emphasized his pride at the opportunity to play for a “historic club” and left a message to Benfica fans.
“I will give my all, give my life for this shirt. Support us in every game”, said Obrador in an exclusive interview with BTV.
CAREER
Born in Palma de Mallorca, Benfica's new signing took his first steps in the youth teams of RCD Mallorca, making his debut for the club's first team on July 19, 2020, against Osasuna, in the last game of the 2019/20 La Liga season, at just 16 years of age.
From the Balearic Islands, Obrador headed to the Spanish capital to join Real Madrid. In 2021/22, he played for the U-19s and, in the following season (2022/23), he was promoted to Real Madrid Castilla, where he played in 34 games. In 2023/24, he remained a fixture in the Merengues' B team, playing another 34 games.
In the summer of 2024, the left-back joined Real Madrid's first team for pre-season training and, after the end of the training camp, was loaned to RC Deportivo until the end of the 2024/25 season. In La Coruña, Obrador played a total of 33 games: 32 in the Spanish 2nd Division and 1 in the Copa del Rey.
At 21, Obrador arrives at Luz with international caps for Spain's U-15, U-16, U-18, and U-19 teams.
