"I want to continue to represent Sport Lisboa e Benfica in the best way, win national and international titles because that's what the fans and Members want. I am here to work, fight, and overcome challenges and hardships. I hope this connection is good for both parties, that I can continue to dignify this emblem, and I count on the support of the entire Benfica team, which never let us down ", he claimed to BTV.

"It is a gratifying moment, one of pride and great responsibility. We are representing a world emblem, with history in football and other sports. That makes me have the utmost sense of responsibility in what I say and do and try to set the best example even in the worst moments. We all must be together ", completed Fernando Pimenta.

Due to the pandemic of COVID-19, the Olympic cycle is "shorter and more intense".

"It will be an atypical Olympic cycle, shorter and more intense. I'm preparing the best possible way, we can't lose pace, because the Olympic qualification is already in 2023 and I want to qualify directly. I must prepare myself as well as possible, first for Olympic qualification, then for the Olympic Games", stressed Fernando Pimenta.
