Otamendi wins Finalissima and Yaremchuk sets his sights on the World Cup!

Nicolás Otamendi, Benfica's, center-back won this Wednesday, June 1, the Finalissima 2022 playing for Argentina, in the match held at Wembley, England, against Italy. Roman Yaremchuk scored and keeps Ukraine's World Cup dream alive

In a match that ended in a clear victory for the Argentines (3-0), Otamendi was a starter and led the defense of the South Americans, who won for the second time a trophy that opposed the winner of the European Championship 2020 (played in 2021 due to the pandemic) and the holder of the Copa America 2021. 

On Wednesday night, Yaremchuk was one of his country's heroes as he kept alive the hope of qualifying his team for the Qatar 2022 World Cup next November.

The Benfica player scored the second goal in the 1-3 triumph in Glasgow, against Scotland in the do play-off semi-final, now preparing for the decisive duel against Wales, this Sunday, June 5, in Cardiff. The Benfica striker was substituted at 78'.

Should Ukraine secure another victory, they will join Iran, England, and the United States in Group B of the Qatar 2022 World Cup.
