Marcel Matz extended contract

Marcel Matz, Sport Lisboa e Benfica's volleyball team coach Sport Lisboa e Benfica, has extended his contractual link with the Club. 

"It is the third contract renewal, this shows the work we have done. It is a great happiness and a moment of responsibility, more time to work to have a medium-term planning and continue to lead a very competent team. I will be able to continue to interact with professionals who are very competent in what is my career in Portugal, my colleagues from the coaching. My permanence also gives stability for them to give the maximum for Benfica", he said. 

"I spend many days at Benfica, I have my children's commitments at the Club, I interact with the fans, other athletes, I always try to be cordial, talk to people, it's a direct relationship. t is a recognition. I am already better known by our fans than when I arrived. Today, I already have a history in Benfica, with the whole team", he stressed.

"We want to keep winning, we have an investment compatible with the titles in Portugal. We have our ambition in the Champions League, to play against the best teams in Europe. We have that desire to grow and face players at a high level. All the players want to do that. We want to win the titles and compete abroad", he finished.
