"We're all very excited"

"Every year we wait for the moment to be with the fans again, to feel their support, which help us a lot during the season", reveals Grimaldo in an interview to "A Bola" newspaper this Sunday, open training day at Estádio da Luz (5 pm).

With the eagle on his chest since December 2015, the left-back confesses he spoked to the President Rui Costa and clarified the episode lived in the last game of the previous season against Paços de Ferreira.

"I spoked to the President and the board. We had to find a solution for what happened. It’s something that should remain internally, and it’s important that people know that the situation is completely solved, that I never refused to play for Benfica, and I will never do it, because I love Benfica. What’s important is that we’re all excited, united, and concentrated to reach our goals for this season ", highlighted Grimaldo.

2022/23 SEASON: THE BEGINNING

"The start of a new season always brings great excitement, necessary to reach the Club’s goals. It’s always hard at first, because of the training load and we got to be ready. I’m willing to work with Roger Schmidt."
