SL Benfica moves forward in the NFT universe

SL Benfica launches a new interactive blockchain platform of collectible NFT video moments, in which the moments are some of the most emblematic plays of some seasons.

NFTs, or non-fungible tokens, are unique digital assets designed to certify ownership of a virtual item, such as digital artwork or tradable and collectible digital cards, on the blockchain. The authenticity, rarity, scarcity, ownership, and other properties of NFTs are independently guaranteed, verified, and protected on the blockchain. Each acquisition is original and unique to the buyer. This makes the transactions of Benfica's NFTs simpler, as at the time of purchase, the NFT is automatically transferred to its new owner.

With some sports NFTs being valued above 1 million euros on the market, Benfica takes another important step into this world with a unique NFT video moment platform– developed by Clancy.

Experts have claimed that NFTs are a new way for fans to acquire digital ownership of their main passions.
