Martim Neto: "Very united and working with a lot of intensity"

The young U-19 European champions (UEFA Youth League) is one of the 14 Benfica academy players present in England. "The perspective is to evolve, to learn, to listen to the advice that they [the more experienced players] have to give us. We try to help the team as much as possible", claimed the midfielder before praising his teammates. " The team is a very united, very strong group. We have a great environment ", he added.

"I always talk to some of them. They help me with technical and tactical issues. Each one helps me in his own way, and I am here to learn from all of them, great players", he explained.

There are not many secrets to success, the formula is to work at the limits, as the new Benfica coach asks.

"[Roger Schmidt] Always asks for a lot of intensity in everything we do. We've been having intense workouts, tough ones too. Essentially, it's a lot of intensity, aggressiveness, and rigor", said Martim Neto.

"It is a very strong group. We are going to work to be well in the Champions League qualifying round. That's what we do, we prepare physically and tactically to respond well in the first match of the season", he claimed.
