Chiquinho was chosen to comment on the 4-2, triumph against Girona, in Yverdon-Les-Bains, Switzerland.

The crowd that invaded the Municipal Stadium pitch, in Yverdon-Les-Bains, shows the fans’ confidence in the team in this new era of Benfica football.

"It's a sign that they believe in us. These are good feelings. We have to keep working hard to bring joy to the fans", said Chiquinho.

Benfica bagged the third triumph in three matches in the pre-season and has been showing very positive signs. "It's been good. The gaffer has been transmitting his ideas. We have been assimilating well and working well. I believe it will be a good year for us", revealed the midfielder.

The team returns to Portugal and already has the presentation to the fans at Estádio da Luz next Tuesday, for the Eusébio Cup.

"We look forward to the Eusébio Cup. We really want, on Tuesday, to show ourselves to our fans. We want to play a good match to give them joy", he claimed.

Benfica fans can see the team again next Tuesday, at Estádio da Luz, at 8 pm. Benfica faces Newcastle, in another edition of the Eusébio Cup.
