Eight Benfica players were called up by the national coach Francisco Neto to play the last matches in group H in the qualification for the World Cup 2023.

Rute Costa, Sílvia Rebelo, Carole Costa, Lúcia Alves, Andreia Faria, Andreia Norton, Francisca Nazareth and Jéssica Silva are the benfiquistas integrating the call-up announced this Tuesday, August 23.

In the fight for the first presence in a World Cup, the National Team will face Servia on September 2, at 7 pm, in Stara Pazova, and will host Turkey on September 6, at 5:30 pm, at Estádio do FC Vizela.
