Andreas Schjelderup is a Benfica player!

Andreas Schjelderup (18 years old) is a new addition to Sport Lisboa e Benfica's professional football team. The Norwegian forward, a former Nordsjaelland player, has signed a contract valid until 2028.

"As soon as I heard about Benfica's interest, it was one of the best days of my life", these were Andreas Schjelderup's first words

"My only thought was to want to come here and play for this great Club, in front of its fantastic fans. When my father told me about Benfica's interest, I was very excited. I tried to keep calm and not get too excited. Now that I'm here, I can be calmer", explained the forward.

"I arrived at one of the best clubs in the world, it's a fantastic feeling. An incredible feeling", he commented.

Schjelderup revealed he knows the "great history of Benfica" and the "history of Eusébio". At the age of 18, the goal is to grow and gain relevance. "I want to be an important player for the Club, I want to develop here, get to know Benfica, the city of Lisbon, and its fans. I want to be part of the Benfiquista family, and I am very excited", he confessed.
