It all begun on August 7, 2018, and today he has played two hundred official matches with the Sacred Mantle! Odysseas reached the milestone in the derby played on Sunday, January 15, against Sporting (2-2), on matchday of the Liga Bwin.

He entered the Benfica Universe at the beginning of the 2018/19 season, taking over as the owner of the Reds' net for the first time against Fenerbahçe, on August 7, 2018, when the Reds won (1-0), at Estádio da Luz, ins the 1st leg of the Champions League 3rd qualifying round. 

The Greek international made 50 appearances in his first team playing for Benfica, which ended with the winning of the National Championship, the 37th in the Club's history. At the start of the 2019/20 season, he lifted the Cândido de Oliveira Super cup.

FIRST MATCH

"I even remember my actions, to be honest. It was good, it was a good game, we won. That was our first goal, to qualify for the Champions League, and that match was the first step. It was very good to play in this amazing stadium, with the stands full of fans. Even today, it is a great feeling to walk into our stadium, in front of our fans."

RESULT

"Against Fenerbahçe? It ended 1-0, clean sheet!"

DERBY AT LUZ

"First, I have to say that it was a very good atmosphere. Our fans were amazing, once again. It was good to celebrate 200 matches [for Benfica] in a derby, it would have been great if we had won the match. We had opportunities [to score], but we are looking ahead."

MOMENT

"Special moment for me? Against Paris Saint-Germain this season. We played a fantastic game [at Estádio da Luz], the entire team. We got a great result and to go through in first place in the group [Champions League Liga] was a huge feat. We showed that we are capable of great things, and so I would highlight that match."

AND MOMENT OF THE TEAM?

"I think it was the home game against Portimonense [in 2018/19], if I'm not mistaken, we were trialing 0-1 in the 50th minute, and we managed to complete the comeback to win by 5-1. It was very special, we completed the comeback, and we ended up being national champions. It was great ."
