Among the12 players from Benfica's professional football squad who are representing their national teams, Schjelderup was the first to shine on Wednesday, March 22, in the Norwegian Under-19s. In the same category, João Neves was decisive in Portugal's triumph, with goalkeeper André Gomes in goal.

Living up to his status as the most important player in the Norwegian U-19 national team, Schjelderup was a starter and scored the third goal in the 4-0 over Romania, in a game of the 2023 European Championships Elite Round.

At the end of the afternoon of this Wednesday, at the Estádio do FC Vizela, the benfiquista João Neves captained the Portuguese Under-19 team and, with a header in the 90'+3', scored the winning goal (1-0) against Sweden, at the beginning of group 4 of the 2023 European Championship Elite Round of qualifying for the 2023. The Portuguese national team goal was (well) protected by André Gomes.
