Overwhelming leader closer to 38th league title!

Impressive the way Benfica showed all its quality in the 1-5 thrashing of Portimonense this Saturday, May 13, in a game from matchday of the Liga Bwin. 

Benfica opened the scoring in the 4th minute. Aursnes' cross from the right to the far post, after a well-developed collective play, with Grimaldo coming up with a left-footed finish, despite the action of the Japanese goalkeeper on the goal line. VAR analyzed the match and validated the goal of the eagles (0-1).

At 28', João Mário made a cross on the right side toward the goal area, where Filipe Relvas deflected the ball into the back of his net (0-2).

In the 38th minute, Portimonense pulled one back through a lateral free kick. The ball crossed into the heart of the Reds' box was at the mercy of Pedrão, who beat Odysseas, benefiting from the rebound (1-2).
