A clash that was decided after extra time, when Carlos Nicolía scored two goals with a direct free hit. Before that, Roberto Di Benedetto and Pablo Álvarez had already scored for the eagles.

Benfica's professional football team began preparations for their clash with Auckland City on Friday, June 20, at 12 noon (5:00 pm continental time) at Inter&Co Stadium in Orlando, on matchday 2 of Group C of the 2025 Club World Cup with a two 30-minute halves training match against FC Naples on Tuesday, June 17. The Eagles won 2-1, with goals from Gonçalo Oliveira and Belotti.
