Linked to the club for nine seasons, Martim Neto, a 20-year-old midfielder, renewed his contract with Sport Lisboa e Benfica. The new contract for the player, who made his debut for the first team on 13 May 2022 against Paços de Ferreira, is valid until 2028.

"It was a Club that gave me everything since I arrived at the age of 12. They have always done everything to make me feel good, and I am very grateful for what they have done for me. It has been nine years of learning a lot and I hope it will continue.", said Martim Neto to BTV.

The young player joined the Club in 2014/15, initially developing at CFT Braga. The following season, in 2015/16, he moved to  Benfica Campus, where he integrated the U-13 team.

His path continued through the U-15, U-17, U-23 and B-Team. During his formative years, his achievements include winning the  UEFA Youth League 2021/22 and the U-20 Intercontinental Cup. "It's a very positive balance. The coaches and the structure have always supported me, and I've grown a lot as a person", he claimed.

"I will try to learn as much as possible from the whole team. It's a pre-season like any other, but I'm going to try to enjoy it as much as possible and learn a lot, because it's a great place", he highlighted.
