The tree-time national football champions are scheduled to return to work on Tuesday, July 18, with a presentation meeting where the entire group of available athletes and the professionals who make up the senior squad will be present.

The first days will be essentially focused on medical examinations and physical tests, usual in the pre-season, and which will be divided into moments scheduled for Hospital da Luz, Benfica Clinic and other spaces of the Sport Lisboa e Benfica Sports Complex.

With the 2023 World Cup in Australia and New Zealand looming (the event starts on Thursday, July 20), naturally 11 footballers will continue to be absent on duty with their respective national team: the Brazilian Nycole Raysla, the Nigerian Christy Ucheibe, and the Portuguese Rute Costa, Sílvia Rebelo, Carole Costa, Ana Seiça, Catarina Amado, Lúcia Alves, Andreia Norton, Francisca Nazareth and Jéssica Silva.

The official season calendar promises a busy and exciting month of September. On September, at Benfica Campus, there is the semi-final of the Super Cup against SC Braga and Sep 6, also in Seixal, the clash with Northern Ireland champions Cliftonville in the semi-final of the UEFA Women's Champions League first qualifying round, group the Club will host.
