The Spanish midfielder, who has been wearing the Sacred Mantle since July 2018, i.e. since the beginning of the project, expressed "giant pride" at continuing to wear the eagle on her chest.
"I've always been proud to represent this club. Ever since I arrived, I've felt very identified with all the values that the Club represents. It's been many years, and I hope it continues", said Pauleta.
"When I arrived, I was a little girl. I feel like I've grown up alongside the project. It was a baby project, now we're among the big clubs in Europe. I'm proud to continue growing in this club and to keep the project evolving", mentioned the player.

"We're achieving all our goals, but now we're approaching the end of the season, and we're focused on continuing the good work we've done. It's time to get those all-important wins in the league, cups and Champions League. The group is focused on doing well in what remains to be done", she highlighted.

Pauleta
One of the most complicated moments in Pauleta's career is behind him. An injury kept the 21-year-old away from the pitch for several months. His return, on February 7, against Torreense, was memorable. At Benfica Campus, Pauleta came on in the 81st minute and sealed the 3-0 win with a penalty.
"It was special. I spent many months wondering when I would return. The memories remain of all the most complicated moments, the suffering and sacrifice. To have the reward of playing, scoring a goal and the team winning was very special," she stated.

Pampered by the Benfica fans, Pauleta thanked the fans for their unconditional support, which is always there for the Inspiradoras.
