STATEMENTS TO BTV

With a brace in Benfica's win (3-1) over Braga, in matchday 31 of the Liga Betclic which took place this Saturday April 27 de abril, at Estádio da Luz, Marcos Leonardo, named Man of the Match, was clearly "happy".

He came on in the 70' and... in the 71' he was already celebrating the equalizer. “I'm happy with the team's commitment, very happy to have helped with two goals”, said the striker to BTV.

Marcos Leonardo stressed that Benfica “never” give up, as was shown in this game, and that it serves as a motto “until the end of the Championship”: “As long as we have a chance, we'll fight for the title.”

The Brazilian player also revealed that coach Roger Schmidt “always asks those on the bench to stay connected to the game, to enter and decide”.
