Benfica midfielder Kökcü is part of Turkey's squad for the 2024 European Championship in Germany and will play against Portugal. The list of 26 players was released by coach Vincenzo Montella on Friday, June 7.

Turkey is in Group F of the European Championship, where they will face Georgia (June 18 in Dortmund), Portugal (June 22 in Dortmund) and Czechia (June 26 in Hamburg).
