Women's football
The midfielder was happy to extend his association with Benfica, the club she has been representing for the past six seasons.

Andreia Faria, who joined Glorioso in the first season of the project, confesses that the moment of renewing her contract is “a source of pride” and an increase in “responsibility”.
"It's a source of pride and a great responsibility for me to be able to represent Benfica at these levels. I just have to say thank you for the trust the club has placed in me, and I want to repay it on the pitch by always giving my all. To win titles and bring joy to our fans, that's what we work for every day," she said, speaking to BTV.
The midfielder, who has won 14 titles with the Sacred Mantle during her career, thanks Benfica for the development it has given her since she was 17.
"I think I've grown a lot as a person too, Benfica teaches us and gives us many necessary values, not just for football, but for our lives. As an athlete, I feel I've evolved a lot, I'm much more mature, both physically and tactically. I just have to thank all the coaches and all the staff, everyone involved in Benfica's women's football project, because a lot of my development is undoubtedly due to the support we get at Benfica", mentoned Andreia Faria, who scored 23 goals playing for the eagles.

Having won the league title last season (2023/24), Andreia Faria is proud to show the team's ambition for the coming season.
"This season [2023/24] has been very positive individually and collectively. It's very easy to get to the top, but it's hard to stay there. That's what I want, to be consistent, and next season I want to do even better. To keep climbing over the next three years, and that's what I'm working for, that's the joy I want to give the fans, always", she stressed.
"The responsibility is growing, and we want to reach other heights and other achievements"
A Portuguese senior international on 23 occasions, in which she scored two goals - there are 74 international caps and 10 goals scored at all levels, specifically in the U-16, U-17, U-19 and Senior national teams - Andreia Faria praises the cohesion of the working group as the secret to success.
"It's very important that we have a very cohesive and constant group over the years. Just as Benfica made me develop as a person, in terms of maturity and technique, most of my teammates did the same. We've all evolved. We're the same players, but more mature and more consistent. That helps us to perform well outside Portugal, and that's what we want to do next year and surprise once again. The responsibility is growing, and we want to reach other heights and other achievements," she said.
To the Benfica fans, Andreia Faria left the assurance of “resilience” and more: “I always promise a lot of dedication and hard work. We're going to work hard to win titles, win the all domestic competitions again, get further in the Champions League, and you can expect resilience from us until the last minute,” she concluded.
