Schjelderup, one of the players from Benfica's professional football team who were in action for the national teams on Friday, October 11, scored the goal in Norway's 1-1 draw against the Republic of Ireland in the qualifiers for the European Under-21 Championship. Kökcü, Aktürkoğlu, Trubin and Samuel Soares were starters in the wins of Turkey, Ukraine and Portugal's Under-21s, respectively.

As a starter, Schjelderup was decisive in the 1-1 draw between the Republic of Ireland and Norway, scoring the goal that earned his team a point in the penultimate minute of added time, with a deflection at the far post. The winger was substituted in the 90'+4' minute of the match from Matchday 9 of Group A qualifying for the UEFA European Under-21 Championship, played in Cork at the Turner's Cross Stadium. On Tuesday, October 15, at 5:30 pm, Norway will host Turkey in Stavanger to close out the qualifying phase.

Kökcü and Aktürkoğlu also started for Turkey, contributing to the 1-0 win over Montenegro in the third round of Nations League Group B4. The midfielder was on the pitch for the entire 90 minutes and hit the post at 55'. The striker was substituted in the 68th minute. Turkey travel to Iceland on Monday, October 14, in Matchday 4 of this stage of the competition, which kicks off at 7:45 pm in Laugardalsvöllur, Reykjavík (Iceland).

In the Ukrainian goal, Trubin played the full 90 minutes of the Group B1 match against Georgia, which took place at the Poznan Stadium in Poland and ended in a 1-0 victory. On Monday, October 14, at 7:45 pm, the Ukrainian side will host Czechia at the Tarczynski Arena in Wroclaw, also in Poland.

Samuel Soares was a starter in the U-21 National Team's 1-3 win over the Faroe Islands in Matchday 9 of Group G in the qualifying phase for the 2025 Euro. André Gomes was not an option. With the win on Friday, October 11, in Klaksvík, Portugal secured their place in the tournament to be held in Slovakia.
