Schjelderup scored the decisive goal

Schjelderup, one of the players from Benfica's professional football team who were in action for the national teams on Friday, October 11, scored the goal in Norway's 1-1 draw against the Republic of Ireland in the qualifiers for the European Under-21 Championship. Kökcü, Aktürkoğlu, Trubin and Samuel Soares were starters in the wins of Turkey, Ukraine and Portugal's Under-21s, respectively.

As a starter, Schjelderup was decisive in the 1-1 draw between the Republic of Ireland and Norway, scoring the goal that earned his team a point in the penultimate minute of added time, with a deflection at the far post. The winger was substituted in the 90'+4' minute of the match from Matchday 9 of Group A qualifying for the UEFA European Under-21 Championship, played in Cork at the Turner's Cross Stadium. On Tuesday, October 15, at 5:30 pm, Norway will host Turkey in Stavanger to close out the qualifying phase.

Kökcü and Aktürkoğlu also started for Turkey, contributing to the 1-0 win over Montenegro in the third round of Nations League Group B4. The midfielder was on the pitch for the entire 90 minutes and hit the post at 55'. The striker was substituted in the 68th minute.
