Marie Alidou, a midfielder from Benfica's women's football team, scored one of Canada's five goals in a 5-1 win over South Korea in a friendly match on Tuesday, December 3, at the Pinatar Arena in Murcia, Spain.

When the Canadian team were already leading 1-0 after a self goal, the 29-year-old Benfica international - who was part of the starting eleven - increased the lead to 2-0 in the 52nd minute. Olivia Smith (3-0), Vanessa Gilles (4-1) and Adriana Lon (5-1) completed the scoring for Canada.
