Diogo Prioste, a player of Benfica's B team, has already received award for the Liga 2 Midfielder of the Month for November 2024. The young player collected 11.11% of the votes from the competition's coaches.

After thanking “all the coaches” who gave him the vote, “the League” and his “teammates”, because “without them” he “wouldn't have been able to win the award”, Diogo Prioste, who in November 2024 played every minute of the three games the young Eagles played, said he was “very happy” with the team's performance in those games - 2 wins and 1 draw.

"In our work, if the team is doing well, the individuals stand out. And that's what happened. We did well, it was a very productive month for all of us. I stood out as an individual, but I'm very happy for the team. Let's keep up the good work," explained the midfielder, who in November scored a goal (against Portimonense) and made an assist (for Joshua Wynder, in the clash with Alverca).

Benfica-Tirsense: extended match highlights (4-0)

In front of almost 50,000 spectators at the Estádio da Luz, Benfica confirmed their qualification for the 2024/2025 Portuguese Cup final on Wednesday night, April 23, by beating Tirsense 4-0 in the second leg of the semi-final (goals from António Silva, Bajrami, Belotti and Barreiro). A moving tribute to Humberto Coelho

Having celebrated his 75th birthday on Sunday, April 20, Humberto Coelho received a heartfelt and well-deserved tribute on Wednesday, April 23, at the Estádio da Luz, during half-time of the Benfica-Tirsense (4-0) second leg of the Portuguese Cup semi-finals. Captain for many years, he wore the Manto Sagrado for “14 fantastic seasons” and, on the pitch, he gave a special thanks to the fans. "This is more than soul, it's an extraordinary mystique! Only at Benfica can you feel this recognition and this glory and memory of having played for the best club in the world," said the former central defender.
