"I'm very happy, I can't wait to get started"

Dedic is a new signing from Sport Lisboa e Benfica! In his first statements as an Eagle to BTV, the 22-year-old right-back assured that he is coming to Estádio da Luz to win games and titles.

The new asset of the Eagles' professional football team, the Bosnia and Herzegovina international, revealed that he is eager to take to the pitch and experience the “great atmosphere” of Estádio da Luz, which he got to know as a player for FC Salzburg in the 2023/24 edition of the Champions League.

"It's a great feeling! I feel very honored and can't wait to get started. I feel really good and happy," said Dedic.

What do you know about the Club?

I know a lot of things, from the great players who have played for this great club, which has great fans and a great stadium. I've played against them in the past, I know how good they are, and as I said, I'm very happy and can't wait to play for this club.

What do you remember about the atmosphere in the stadium that night?

I remember there was a lot of noise, with a great atmosphere and lots of fans. That night, I was the opponent, and now I'm looking forward to playing in front of the fans.

How would you describe yourself as a player?

I describe myself as an offensive player; I like to play in the style that Benfica plays. I like to help the team score goals, and to defend and attack together. I hope to show that on the pitch.

What goals do you have for this new chapter in your career?

I hope to help the team with my style of play, both technically and in terms of speed. I hope to be able to put that into practice on the pitch.

And winning titles and games with the team, which is the most important thing.
