Tiago Gouveia
Tiago Gouveia arrived at Benfica in 2017/18, aged 16. In his first season with the Eagles, he was crowned national U17 champion, later playing for the U19s, U23s, and the B team.
On April 30, 2022, at the age of 20, he made his debut for the Eagles' first team in a 0-1, away win against Marítimo in Matchday 32 of the National Championship. Shortly after, on May 13, 2022, he was a starter for the first time in the triumphant 0-2 away win at Paços de Ferreira, in Matchday 34 and final round of the competition.
In the 2022/23 season, Tiago Gouveia was loaned to Estoril, where he played 30 games and scored 5 goals.
Returning to Benfica in the 2023/24 season, in which the Reds lifted the Super Cup, he was involved in 26 matches (and also in a match with the B team).
He played his first game at Luz and in European competitions – against Salzburg, in the first match of the Champions League group stage (0-2) – and scored his first goal – against Lusitânia, in the third round of the Portuguese Cup (1-4) –, registering four goals in the season.
In 2024/25, the season in which Benfica won the League Cup, Tiago was sidelined from competition due to injury, from August 24, 2024, to March 31, 2025. As a result, he appeared in only 9 matches (as well as two matches for the B team), scoring once.
In the current season, the athlete trained at Benfica Campus has played 3 times, participating in the 0-1, victory at Estádio Algarve, which earned the team the Super Cup trophy.
In total, Tiago Gouveia has played 40 games and scored 5 goals for Benfica's professional team.
